A Little History

In 1966, Joseph and Elizabeth Berta married and purchased farmland to build a house and grow fresh produce for their young family.

The bounty quickly exceeded the needs of the family and so they started selling surplus fruits and vegetables on a table at the side of the road.

Realizing that the family farm needed a home, Joe decided to name the farm after his wife – Elizabeth. And so it became Elberta Farms. Through the years, they expanded into what the farm is today, with the help of their six children.  The children are proud to carry on their parents tradition.
